Javelina Day of Giving

The Javelina Day of Giving is a fundraising event celebrating what unites us - being a Javelina! This year we are calling on you - our alumni, parents, friends, faculty, staff, and students - and asking for your support. The size of the gift is not important, what's important is that you participate on this day and share your passion by giving to the designation of your choice.

Why September 15?

Dating back to the early 1900’s, community leaders came together to advocate for a revolutionary campus in the heart of South Texas, now known as Texas A&M University-Kingsville. With a strong focus on education reform, there was a need for quality teachers who were also bilingual in Spanish. After a twenty-year battle and a generous land grant from King Ranch, the creation of a normal school in South Texas was on the horizon. On September 15, 1924, Robert J. Kleberg turned the first shovel of earth for the new school.

Where does my gift go?

You decide! You can designate your gift to the area of Texas A&M University-Kingsville that means the most to you—your favorite Javelina athletics team, the college of your choice, or the area of greatest need. Just check the list of available designations when you submit your giving form. Don't see the area you want to give on the form? No worries – we’ve got you covered. Just select “other” and fill out the space provided with the area you’d like to support with your gift.

To designate your gift to Javelina Athletics, President's Circle, or an Academic Unit, please click on their campaign below. We dare you! Encourage your network to join you in making a gift! You can match gifts dollar for dollar up to a fixed amount and even structure your challenge to be based on donor participation.
