Nicaragua (Spring Break)

Students and staff will partner with the mission organization One Collective for this ministry trip. The primary goal of One Collective’s short-term teams is to fuel the long-term work of meeting physical and spiritual needs in Nicaragua. To that end, we typically split a team’s time between working on projects that move our own ministries toward their goals and partnering with other local organizations and churches, making an impact in Masatepe. A few other goals we have for teams are building relationships with Nicaraguans, being an encouragement to the community, and learning about healthy poverty alleviation. We also want the team to experience Nicaraguan culture, learn about poverty and healthy community development, get to know our staff, and experience how the Lord is working. Some activities that we always do include home visits, a meal in our Nicaraguan staff’s homes, attending church, and participating in our team devotional, which we have every week.
