Gifts to Vinicios Dias de Souza contribute to...
HI!
I am Vinicios but a lot of my friends call me Vinny, it is my first year at Olivet Nazarene University and I am gladly studying Youth Ministry. I am involved weekly in programs like Preaching Ambassadors and Upper Room where I have been able to grow in my own relationship with Christ and learn what it looks like to serve God. I have also been able to serve at Hickory Creek Church’s Youth Ministry and step into where I feel the lord is calling me. The lord has blessed me greatly with a heart that desires to pour into his people and his kingdom.
This spring break, I’ve been given the opportunity to serve in Nicaragua through Shalom Project, partnering with One Collective. Our team will be coming alongside local churches and leaders to support the work that is already happening in the community. We will be helping in serving projects, connecting with kids and families, and encouraging people spiritually through prayer, conversations, and simply showing up with love.
I know that the lord has been preparing me for this and that he has a plan for how he wants to move in Nicaragua. One thing I’m especially praying for as we go is Unity, not just that we all “get along”, but that we would truly be one in the way we serve, love, and represent Christ together. Jesus prayed that his followers would be one so that the world would believe, and that Is a challenge to all of us believers, it makes me recognize not only how I can share but how we as a body of Christ can join together in complete unity to grow the kingdom of God (John 17:20-23).
This is an honestly such an exciting opportunity, and something that I can’t wait to be a part of, but I need some help! Firstly, I would love if you can be praying for the lord to soften the hearts of all the people in Nicaragua. Praying that me and my team can serve with humility and with a heart that desires to reflect Christ. And lastly to pray for the financial support.
If you feel led to support, I would greatly appreciate it. Even a small gift makes a real difference and helps me take this step of faith. More than anything, I’m thankful for your partnership as we work together to see God’s Kingdom grow.
