Here at UNC Asheville, we believe money shouldn't stand in the way of our students' education. If you also value making access to a higher education more equitable and affordable for all our Bulldogs, join us by making a gift for good during our 3rd-annual Founder's Day Scholarship Drive!
To honor our commitment to affordability, we provide over $6,000,000 in annual scholarships, and over 70% of our students receive financial aid.
๐พ That's an amazing amount of support, but we need your help today to support even more students during this school year! ๐พ
This Founder's Day, celebrate UNC Asheville's birthday by supporting your favorite scholarship before the clock strikes midnight on September 12 and UNC Asheville officially turns 97! Make the 2024-2025 school year the best one yet for our Bulldogs.
And, to celebrate our scholarship drive, Steve Tuttle '81 and Karen K. Brown '81 will give $10,000 to the Class of 1981 Scholarship when 20 donors make a gift of any size to this scholarship before midnight on September 12!
This means your Founder's Day Scholarship Drive gift of any size will change a student's life forever.
Darby Sims '26, computer science major, has a special message for all our donors!
"I'm reminded of the incredible opportunities education can unlock. For me, that opportunity came in the form of a scholarship that allowed me to pursue my dreams here at UNCA. I'm grateful every day for the generosity of those who made it possible.
[Today], every contribution goes directly to scholarships, ensuring that deserving students can access the education they deserve, regardless of financial barriers.
Your support, no matter the size, can make a lasting difference. Let's work together to shape the next generation of leaders, thinkers, and innovators. Thank you for being a part of this journey with me."
Darby hopes to one day create a scholarship of her own to support female students in STEM. Thank you to everyone who has made their Founders Day gift! If you haven't yet, there's still time to help students just like Darby.

Is it possible for us to raise enough support to cover the tuition and fees for three students for an entire year before midnight?
$7,501-that's the cost of one year's tuition and fees. The Bulldog family has already come together this Founders Day to provide enough support for two students.
How soon can we raise $22,503 of scholarship support to impact the lives of three Bulldogs forever? We're only $3,900 away!

Let's set a goal of increasing the endowment to $100,000 by our Centennial Year of 2027." - Steve Tuttle, '81
Keep the generosity up, Bulldogs! Make a gift of any size to the Class of 1981 Scholarship today so we can grow our endowment and offer even more support to students who demonstrate financial need.

631 days ago by Emily WilsonGood morning, Bulldogs!
The UNC Asheville family did not come to play this Founders Day! Before the clock even struck 9:00 am, y'all unlocked a generous challenge gift to the Class of 1981 Endowed Scholarship from Karen K. Brown '81, Secretary of our Board of Trustees, and Steve Tuttle '81, Chair of our Alumni Association Board of Directors. THANK YOU.
We still have 15 hours left, though, and so much more good to do! Keep making those gifts to your favorite UNC Asheville Scholarship so no Bulldog's path to graduation ever gets stalled by financial need.
