The Hamline Music Department hopes to raise $2,000 during Piper Funding Week to help provide equitable access to music lessons by defraying the private lesson fee charged to students.
The Hamline Music Department's Music Lesson program delivers high impact individualized learning for students who are eager to develop their performance skills. We bring the Twin Cities best musician-teachers to campus – members of the Minnesota Opera, St. Paul Chamber Orchestra, Minnesota Orchestra, Minnesota Chorale, and headliners at the Dakota – to teach and meaningfully mentor our Hamline instrumentalists, vocalists, and composers. The fee is modest for this invaluable one-on-one learning experience. Nevertheless, it does stand in the way for many of our students, often those who could benefit the most. Help us to ensure equity for these students so they may have the resources they need to pursue their musical potential.
Your gift will go directly to reduce students’ $350 fee to $100 for an entire semester of private lessons! Please donate to our Music Lesson Fee Assistance Fund to support equal access to this high impact learning opportunity
