At University of Detroit Mercy, our mission isn’t just words on a wall—it’s alive, joyful, justice-driven, and happening every single day through students, neighbors, partners, and YOU. This year, we’re uniting four powerhouse initiatives under one crowdfunding roof, each tackling a different (and vital!) piece of our shared mission: service, justice, hunger relief, and literacy.

🌍 Service Immersion Trips: Send Titans Out to Change the World!

Our Service Immersion Trips aren’t vacations—they’re life-changing journeys where students dig in, serve alongside communities, learn from justice leaders, and return transformed. From civil rights history in Montgomery, to sustainable living in Appalachia, to a new pilgrimage to the U.S.–Mexico border, these experiences shape Titans into leaders of empathy, courage, and purpose.

Goal: $15,000 Your support keeps trips affordable, expands scholarships, and ensures every student—regardless of financial background—can answer the call to serve.

🍎 Revive the Hive: Ensure No Titan Goes Hungry

The Hive, Detroit Mercy’s student-run food pantry, just moved into a brighter, more accessible space—and demand is higher than ever. Students rely on The Hive for healthy food options that keep them focused, nourished, and able to thrive.

Goal: $5,000 Your gift fills our shelves, supports expanded hours, and ensures no Titan has to wonder where their next meal is coming from.

🥛 Give TENN: Fuel the Fun. Feed the Community. Build Food Justice.

Hunger isn’t fun—but giving can be! TENN is raising funds for protein and dairy staples to stock monthly food boxes and community fridges in the New Martin Park neighborhood. It’s student-powered, justice-centered, and neighbor-built.

Goal: $1,000 Just $14 feeds a family for a week. That’s instant nourishment—and instant impact.

📚 Rx for Reading Detroit: Spread the Book-Joy!

Since 2014, Rx for Reading has shared more than 250,000 children’s books across Metro Detroit, partnering with 100+ community organizations to nurture a city full of readers and dreamers. When kids read, opportunity grows—and we believe EVERY child deserves that chance.

100% of every gift goes directly to children’s literacy. $20 = 30 books. $65 = 100 books. $350 sponsors a free library. $500 supports a Head Start reading program for a whole semester.
