Are You In? is the annual giving campaign of the Southern University System Foundation, calling on alumni, friends, faculty, and supporters to come together across our campuses in Baton Rouge, New Orleans, and Shreveport.
For 90 days, our community is coming together to give, to advocate, and to add their names to the legacy of people who have shown up for Southern for more than 146 years.
SU Give Day 2026 on August 28th marks the campaign's final and most powerful moment, a virtual celebration streamed via Facebook Live and YouTube to rally our community for one last push toward our goal.

On May 28, the Southern University System Foundation launched the 2026 Are You In? campaign with a live conversation about Southern's legacy in space exploration and its national impact.
This year's theme, "From Southern and Beyond," brought together Morgan M. Watson, one of the first African American engineers employed by NASA and a 1966 Southern University graduate, and Dr. Lealon L. Martin, Dean of the College of Sciences and Engineering, to trace the arc from the Apollo program to today's Boeing and NASA partnerships. Current Southern students working alongside those partners joined the conversation to share what that legacy looks like on the ground right now.
