What is Are You In?

Are You In? is the annual giving campaign of the Southern University System Foundation, calling on alumni, friends, faculty, and supporters to come together across our campuses in Baton Rouge, New Orleans, and Shreveport. For 90 days, the campaign invites our community to give, to advocate, and to add their names to the legacy of people who have shown up for Southern for more than 146 years.

What is SU Give Day?

SU Give Day is the final day of the Are You In? campaign, bringing together our entire community to support all five campuses and make an impact in just 24 hours. SU Give Day 2026 takes place on August 28th and will be celebrated with a virtual event streamed via Facebook Live and YouTube.

Where Should I Give?

You can choose from areas across the university to designate your gift. We encourage you to support the area at Southern that is most meaningful to you. You can also check out today's challenges to multiply your impact.

What Are the Payment Options and Ways to Give?

Online Gifts Gifts can be made online by clicking the "Give Now" button in the top right corner of your screen. All major credit cards, Venmo, Apple Pay, Google Pay, and PayPal are accepted. The minimum online gift is $5.

Gifts by Phone or Mail You can also give by calling 225-771-3911. Mailed gifts can be sent to the Southern University System Foundation, SU Give Day, 598 Harding Boulevard, Baton Rouge, LA 70815.

Recurring Gifts You have the option to set up a recurring gift on a monthly, quarterly, or annual basis.

Company Matching Gifts Many company matching gift programs can enable you to double or even triple your impact.

Is My Gift Tax Deductible?

Yes, all gifts to the Southern University System Foundation are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law. You will receive a confirmation email immediately, and the Foundation will send an official tax receipt after the gift is fully processed.

You can also create your own match or challenge by clicking "Offer a Match" or "Offer a Challenge" and following the prompts.

Official Campaign Match and Challenge Guidelines

As part of Are You In?, Southern University's 90-day annual campaign, matches and challenges help your gift go even further in support of students, programs, and progress across the Southern University System.

The following guidelines apply to all matches and challenges unless otherwise noted:

• The minimum eligible gift is $5.
• Challenges based on the number of gifts are determined by individual transactions. A donor may support multiple groups (designations) during these challenges.
• Challenges based on the number of unique donors are determined by individual participants. Donors may support multiple groups (designations).
• Gifts must be made within the published match period to be eligible. Gifts submitted after the match window closes or after funding is exhausted will not be matched.
• The use of bots or automated scripts to complete transactions is strictly prohibited.
• Splitting a single transaction into multiple gifts to the same designation using the "Other" field will render it ineligible for a match or challenge.
• Appeals or disputes will be resolved at the discretion of the Southern University System Foundation staff.
