Athletics 2021

The Colonials have stepped up to the Horizon League, and Big South Conference in football. This was a bold and challenging move for RMU’s NCAA Division I teams, even before the disruptions caused by the coronavirus. With the help of loyal Colonials fans, we can make sure that our student-athletes continue to excel on the field and in the classroom.

This year, RMU Athletics hopes to receive support from over 500 donors as part of the 2021 RMU Day of Giving to support various initiatives, from competitive excellence, special projects and programs to support a world-class experience for RMU student-athletes. You can support in a variety of ways, including the Colonial Champions Fund, a specific gift to a varsity program, the new Joe Walton Legacy Fund or the "Hockey Is The Goal" campaign.

RMU Athletics has received challenge gifts from alumni and friends this year to encourage supporters to give to student-athlete initiatives. The popular student-athlete alumni program challenge returns in 2021, which includes $2,500 in incentives to entice alumni to give back to their programs. Other challenge gifts include up to $5,000 in matches to support new graphics and branding of RMU Athletics facilities and even matches up to $19,210 (1921 was the founding year of RMU) to support gifts to the new Joe Walton Legacy Fund! Remember to encourage family, friends, fans and supporters of RMU Athletics to donate to the 2021 RMU Day of Giving to help foster the success of current and future Colonials. RMU would like to thank all or our generous donors who give annually to ensure the Colonials have the best possible experience in the classroom and in competition.
