Just over two weeks ago, Bishops came together during Ohio Wesleyan’s fourth annual We Are OWU day of giving. The results are in, and we are thrilled to announce that you did it, Bishops! In just 1,842 minutes, 1,035 donors celebrated the OWU community to benefit current students, exceeding the 1,000-donor goal. Together, these alumni, families, students, faculty, staff, and friends raised $469,526 for OWU. These funds will immediately be put to work to help ensure college remains affordable and accessible for every OWU student, sustain essential campus programs year after year, and provide OWU Connection opportunities to link academic learning to real-world experiences. Thank you!

With less than 7 hours remaining, Evan Corns ’59 is choosing to increase his match funds in honor of his 65th reunion! In addition to his Greek match, Evan is also matching all We Are OWU gifts $1 for $1, up to $40,000, to double your impact! The word "philanthropy" is derived from two Greek words, philos and anthropos, that together mean "love of humanity." What better way is there to celebrate Valentine's Day and the Bishop community than by investing in its future? Each of can be a philanthropist when we choose to give to benefit current students—and tomorrow's leaders.
If this is your first We Are OWU: welcome! As a special bonus, all donors who make their first-ever gift during We Are OWU will have their gifts matched an additional $10 by anonymous young alums, up to $900!

Thank you, We Are OWU Crew, for your support of the Bishop community! This team of volunteers has been busy spreading the word and preparing for We Are OWU.
Crew Co-Captains Julie MacMillan '88 and Sean Harris '97 are leading the effort and share why they choose to support OWU. Reflecting on a road trip with 10 friends to the Grand Canyon his senior year, Sean shares, "It was a wonderful experience and wonderful trip, and those people are still my best friends today, more than twenty years later. I give back and stay involved to make that kind of experience possible for students today." Julie shares, "I can think of a ton of connections, relationships, moments, and memories that have stayed with me through adulthood. I really think college can expand your person and expand your world, and I think OWU does that."
