Why a giving day?
We Are OWU is our annual opportunity to come together as a community to celebrate and support Ohio Wesleyan and today’s students. Through a giving day, we can showcase our OWU pride and collectively create a greater impact than we could do on our own.

Why should I give?
Every single Bishop experience is made possible because of philanthropy. Today's scholarships, programs, curriculum—every corner of an OWU education—are bolstered through the donations of alumni, family, and friends. Gifts through We Are OWU support the areas of greatest need on campus and make a difference every day, for today's and tomorrow's students!

When should I give? 
We Are OWU takes place from February 14 at noon EST to February 15, 2024 at 6:42 p.m. EST, but you can beat the rush and make your gift today! Gifts mailed by February 15 or made online through 6:42 p.m. EST will count toward OWU's 1,000-donor goal.

How can I give?
Make your gift online (click “Make Your Gift Early” at the top of this page) or mail your gift to: Ohio Wesleyan University, Attn: Mowry Alumni Center, 61 S. Sandusky St., Delaware, OH 43015. If you’d like to make your gift via stock, IRA rollover, DAF, or any other way, please call (855)-OWU-1842 for more information.

How do I decide where to give?
There are many different areas to support during We Are OWU, from student scholarships to academic departments to athletics to the new Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Fund! Make a gift to any area of the university you are passionate about, and 100 percent of the gift will go there. Or you can give to multiple areas! If you’re still undecided, the Ohio Wesleyan Fund - Area of Greatest Need is your best bet. Then your gift can immediately help any area of campus with need!

How does this affect my class or reunion fundraising?
Gifts made through We Are OWU to Annual Giving Program funds count toward class totals! We Are OWU is not a separate fund or effort but simply another way to inspire support. Encourage your classmates to support We Are OWU and also help reach your class’s annual goal.

How do matches and challenges work?
Matches are gifts from fellow alumni, family, and friends that allow you to multiply the impact of your gift! Challenges are similar, and they are generally based on the number of donors or amount raised in a given time. Once a threshold is reached, the fund is unlocked. Make sure to complete every field in the online form when you make your gift to unlock as many matches and challenges as possible! More matches and challenges will be announced closer to the campaign launch.
