About

Hope offers multiple resources for students in need: Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS), the Hope College Health Center, The Nourish Hope Care Pantry and Student Emergency Fund. These are supported by generous donations from alumni, parents, friends and other students.

The Nourish Hope Care Pantry

Provides students with essential items such as food, seasonal clothing to brace against frigid Michigan winters, hygiene products, kitchen supplies, everyday essentials and textbooks.

Student Emergency Fund

Helps students with emergency financial needs that exceed the expected costs of education.

These resources provide assistance to 15–20 students each week. By financially supporting the Care Pantry or Student Emergency Fund, you are helping meet students’ basic needs so they can thrive on campus, graduate on time and pursue their passions without having to carry a heavy financial burden.

CAPS

Learning to take care of their mental health prepares students for a lifetime of overall well-being. Our professional counseling staff supports students as they learn skills to reach their full potential.

CAPS provides individual and group therapy for students, orientation for parents, training for faculty and staff, and stress-reducing events during exam week.

Hope College Health Center

Hope College Health Center strives to keep students healthy so they can stay in class and remain successful throughout their college experience. Our providers include medical doctors, physician assistants and registered nurses. The health center promotes physical and mental wellness, including women's health, and offers immunizations and international travel prep to all Hope students.

Between 6,000 and 7,000 students visit the health center every year.

Consider making a gift today to support our students’ basic needs.
