Wurzweiler School of Social Work not only teaches its students the importance of community involvement and the power of transformation but also offers them a way to practice it. Its Care Café addresses the needs of vulnerable populations by providing psychoeducational pop-up support “cafés” throughout the New York metro area. Together with local leaders and organizations, the Care Café brings together community members, industry experts and social work students and practitioners, connecting individuals and families to vital resources and offering hands-on training for students.
