Gifts to Internships, Clinical Placements and Research Assistantships (Katz School of Science and Health) contribute to...
At the Katz School, internships, clinical placements and research assistantships are an important extension of graduate coursework, propelling students’ professional development and providing tangible value to the organizations who engage with them.
In our STEM programs, internships and research assistantships offer students opportunities to gain practical experience, enhancing both technical and soft skills, and to connect with industry professionals, mentors and future job opportunities. Internships also benefit companies by advancing research, driving innovation and improving productivity. Projects may involve cutting-edge research, software development, data analysis and product development.
In our health sciences programs — nursing, occupational therapy, physician assistant and speech language pathology — students develop their skills through clinical fieldwork in a range of health care settings, including hospitals, early-intervention centers, schools, private practices and rehabilitation centers. These clinical experiences are required for professional licensure.
