Gifts to First Scholars Summer Bridge contribute to...
Westminster University's First Scholars program supports first-generation students who are breaking barriers and creating pathways to higher education in their families. Through mentorship, research, and community engagement, these scholars contribute a unique perspective to our campus community and exemplify resilience and determination in the face of challenges.
A cornerstone of the program is the Summer Bridge experience, a transformative week-long orientation fostering connections with peers, academic preparation through mock classes and mentoring by faculty and staff, and on-campus activities. The program culminates in a three-day Utah outdoor adventure, showcasing Westminsterβs commitment to exploration within and beyond the classroom.
The First Scholars program honors our legacy of expanding access to higher education and empowering underrepresented groups to shape the future. Join us in celebrating their resilience and Westminsterβs dedication to progress—support First Scholars today!
