History Experiential Learning Fund

About the Project

The History Alumni Advisory Council's experiential learning fund provides support for students completing internships and other experiential learning opportunities, including conference presentations. These opportunities give students the chance to explore career fields and to boost their resumes. Many internships in history-related fields are unpaid, and the fund not only provides students with extra support, but it also levels the playing field, giving students who must work the chance to do internships that are unfunded.

Impact of Your Gift

• Support for internship-associated expenses (lodging, mileage, meals, incidentals)
• Hands-on experience, resume- building opportunities for students
• Assisting the History Alumni Advisory Council to meet their goal of $50,000 to endow the fund (currently at $25,000)
