Gifts to Service Learning Trip to the Dominican Republic contribute to...
About the Project ๐ฉ๐ด
Nearly every year since 2016, students in pre-health and Spanish programs participate in a humanitarian medical trip to the Dominican Republic, gaining hands-on experience. While there, students also act as translators for American doctors, therapists and pharmacists. This immersive experience becomes a key memory and building block of their life while at Westminster and long after, with some alumni choosing to participate in the trip even after they graduate.
Impact of Your Gift
- Reduces student travel costs, freeing up funds for other important tasks such as applying to graduate schools and completing required post-graduate testing
- Supports hands-on medical and language-learning experiences
- Expands access to a transformative global opportunity
- Helps our students lean into Westminster's mission of creating human beings at their best
