The WMU Office for Sustainability is an on-campus incubator with a team that helps WMU students turn their ideas into campus sustainability solutions. Promising student ideas gain support and lead to infrastructure, policy, and culture change at WMU. The Office currently operates a bike shop, a free store, an annual workshop series, and several garden and composting demonstration projects. The next student idea is always right around the corner.
The Office employs a dozen students, provides internal grant funding to students, operates annual student programs, and collaborates internally with campus experts and leaders.
Gifts support the Office and give students opportunities to advance renewable energy, zero-carbon transportation, bird friendly windows, electric vehicle chargers, waste reduction, biodiversity enhancements, and many other innovations. Your support will help WMU student sustainability leaders increase their campus and community impact.
The Office is powered by students, works on student priorities, and advances campus sustainability and climate change solutions. Onward for the Brown and Gold and for the living planet! 🌱
