West Virginia State University provides significant support for its athletic programs, but we are committed to providing a top-tier experience for all of our student athletes. Funds raised for all sports will help us enhance and elevate the student athlete experience by supplementing the funding provide by the university.
WVSU student athletes represent the university well in the classroom, community, and in competition. Every Yellow Jacket team completed at least one community service project this Fall, including a reading buddies partnership at Dunbar Primary School. The Fall 2025 semester was the 15th straight semester of a cumulative GPA above 3.0, with 36 student athletes posting a perfect 4.0 GPA.
