If you’re here, it’s likely because you’ve experienced the NICU journey firsthand or know someone who has. Being a NICU parent is an emotional rollercoaster—one of the hardest experiences a family can go through. In those moments of uncertainty, we rely on the incredible care teams—the doctors and nurses at University of Utah Health—who provide expert, compassionate care to our most fragile babies.

Today, as former NICU families, we want to share an urgent need—one that deeply affects the lives of newborns and their families in our community. The Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) at University Hospital is a place of hope and healing, providing around-the-clock care to over 1,200 infants last year alone. As admissions continue to rise, so does the demand for specialized resources to support these tiny warriors.

However, our NICU is facing a critical challenge: much of our equipment needs to keep pace with the growing number of babies in need. Every infant who enters our NICU deserves the best possible start in life, but insufficient resources make this increasingly difficult.
