Trang, a first-time mom, had just reached the third trimester of her pregnancy at 29 weeks when her water broke unexpectedly, turning her world upside down. She was consumed with fear and heartbreak as she delivered her baby girl prematurely. It was devasting to see her tiny daughter struggle to breathe and eat on her own. Despite fears and uncertainty, over the course of their 9-week stay, the NICU team surrounded them with unwavering support, compassion, and love. 


Now, at almost two, baby girl Lexi, is thriving and striving, thanks to the extraordinary care she received from the U of U NICU. Trang and her family have immense gratitude to the doctors, nurses, and staff who gave Lexi her best possible start in life.
