Rising Stars

We the Rising Stars have the opportunity to share our story with our loyal supporters in letting them get to know more about how this amazing program began. Starting with just a mission to help support five first-generation students in making higher education easier to attain and preparing them through the next four years with work experience that they will gain through these internships. With the program having a very successful year in 2019. Fast forward four years later, the program has now been able to help 180+ students in the program and this spring semester the inaugural class of the Rising Stars will be graduating with 3-4 years of corporate work experience. This was made possible with loyal supporters like you who invest their time to support our students and know the importance, and impact it has for Houston’s future workforce.

We would like for you all to continue showing your support by helping us reach our goal of $4,000, in this 24-hour online fundraising campaign that will be held on Fat Tuesday as a tribute to the University’s Mardi Gras legacy. UST Giving Day is a day where it brings our entire community together in support of our university. UST Giving Day allows programs and organizations within the university to share their story and goals for the upcoming semester.

There are two ways to pledge matching donations: 1) Dollar-for-dollar matches or 2) Challenge matches. Both options can significantly increase the impact of our campaign supporters’ donations and make an even greater difference!
