Gifts to UNCG Esports contribute to...
UNCG Esports focuses on two main categories: Academics/Community Engagement, and Competitive/Recreation. The home for all of these initiatives on campus is the Esports Arena, located in Moran Commons. The UNCG Esports Arena hosts an average of 240 different students each day. In 2023, over 4,600 unique students visited within a six-month period, nearly one-third of our total student body. Our competitive teams are made up of 130 students. Among these teams, we proudly hold top 5 rankings in the nation for Super Smash Bros, Apex Legends, and top 32 in Overwatch. The arena hosts over 15 classes (most of which are in the Gaming and Esports Studies minor), and is the home for Esports and Education Weekend, Game Jams, Spartan Clashes, and more events that engage our community in engaging gaming experiences.
