Gifts to School of Health and Human Sciences contribute to...
The School of Health and Human Sciences (HHS) constantly strives to meet the needs of our students and the evolving world. We are committed to the well-being of our faculty and staff through dedicated resources, programming, and opportunities for growth and development.
We continue to adapt our degree and certificate offerings to equip students with necessary skills for in-demand jobs. Our new bachelor's degree in Human Health Sciences and recently launched online master’s degrees in Speech Language Pathology and Sport and Exercise Psychology are thriving. We’ve added a Mental Skills for Sport Coaching graduate certificate and an undergraduate minor in Genetic Counseling.
Our new strategic plan highlights our investment in student, faculty, and staff well-being and connectedness, fostering opportunities for professional growth and meaningful engagement.
The HHS Office of Research has developed substantial programming to support innovation and community-engaged scholarship, including naming Dr. Sharon Morrison as the Faculty Fellow for Community Engaged Research and Dr. Jeff Milroy as the Faculty Fellow for Innovation.
Our Center for Women’s Health and Wellness, with generous donor support, facilitated the inaugural Active Girls Healthy Girls camp, introducing young females to exercise, wellness, and body positivity.
Our new undergraduate Student Leadership Program, currently in its pilot year, aims to prepare students through a variety of professional development, networking, and mentoring experiences, including engaging with our alumni network and university stakeholders.
