About

The Jeanne Tannenbaum Center for Creative Practice at UNCG marks the inaugural development of the Millennial Campus initiative.

It is a transformative project designed to enhance the university’s impact on both campus and in the community. Situated at the intersection of Gate City Boulevard and Tate Street, the Center represents a strategic location within the Millennial Campus’s two districts: a health and wellness corridor along Gate City Boulevard, and an arts and humanities corridor along Tate Street.

The Jeanne Tannenbaum Center for Creative Practice represents a transformative step forward in UNC Greensboro’s commitment to creativity, leadership, and community engagement. Set to launch in mid-2026, the Tannenbaum Center will be a pioneering interdisciplinary hub where art, innovation, and technology converge to address the challenges of a rapidly changing world.

A New Front Door for Creativity

The Tannenbaum Center empowers thinkers and makers—whether they are students, faculty, or community members—to create, learn, share, and connect. By fostering research and ideas that are both locally and globally relevant, the Tannenbaum Center will place creativity at the heart of collaborative efforts to think about and address such pressing issues such as health and wellness, climate change, and social entrepreneurship, to name just a few.

Our vision is rooted in the belief that art, combined with participatory engagement and cutting-edge technology, can change lives.
