Health and Counseling Center

Access to quality mental health care can make all the difference in a student’s college journey. At UNC Asheville, the Health and Counseling Center helps bridge critical financial gaps for students who need counseling, psychological testing, or psychiatric medication but cannot afford the full cost of care.

The Health and Counseling Center provides aid to students for eligible out-of-pocket expenses, such as sessions with licensed North Carolina mental health providers and psychological testing for learning disorders. These services can be costly, and insurance coverage is often limited or unavailable.
