The Student Investment Fund - An Investment Fund Driven by students, for students

The Gaia Initiative is a family of donor-driven investment funds that generate absolute returns to fund fellowships and scholarships for students. Our fund disbursements are based on a set percentage of assets under management and investment income of fiscal year positive returns. Donors can choose to contribute to existing fund strategies or suggest their own, with allocations based on their wishes. Gaia fellowships are open to students from a variety of majors and involve activities like investment policy research, asset selection and execution, and fund marketing. Each fund has defined strategies, allowable asset classes, allocation ranges, target risk profiles, and identified benchmarks for performance evaluation. Our objective is to generate returns sustainably, with a target index for performance evaluation and any alpha generating strategies identified.
