Update:
Thank you for helping us reach our goal of 20 donors during Orange & Blue Days! With your support, we’re now aiming for a stretch goal of $3,000 to make an even greater impact. Additional gifts help us train peer educators on new curriculum and add a new workshop focused on healthy relationships and consent to our current offerings.
About:
The Women’s Resources Center (WRC) is dedicated to creating a safer, more equitable campus for students of all genders at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. Through education, advocacy, and community engagement, we work to transform campus culture and advance gender equity.
We are seeking support to expand our sexual and relationship violence prevention and awareness training for Illinois students. Your gift will directly empower students to become leaders in creating a campus free from violence.
Each donation helps fund peer-led workshops on vital topics such as bystander intervention, consent, healthy relationships, and supporting survivors. These programs make a measurable difference. Students who complete our trainings are more likely to recognize and intervene in high-risk situations, reducing incidents of sexual violence both on and off campus. They also report feeling more confident discussing sexual misconduct—an important step toward breaking the silence, challenging rape culture, and building a community of care.
By investing in this initiative, you are helping us not only prevent harm, but also foster belonging, safety, and transformative learning at Illinois. Together, we can ensure every student has the opportunity to thrive.
