Each gift directly fuels peer-led workshops that empower Illinois students to prevent sexual and relationship violence and to build a culture of respect and care. These sessions cover essential topics including bystander intervention, consent, healthy relationships, and supporting survivors—equipping students with the knowledge and confidence to take action when it matters most.
Our peer educators—Illinois students trained in evidence-based prevention strategies and skilled facilitation—create engaging, interactive spaces where reflection turns into conversation, and conversation turns into lasting change.
Last year alone, 397 students participated in bystander intervention workshops, gaining the tools to recognize early warning signs of potential sexual violence and intervene safely and effectively. Every contribution helps us reach more students, prevent more harm, and strengthen a campus culture where everyone feels safe, valued, and supported.
