Husky Bhangra

Husky Bhangra is the University of Connecticut’s premier Bhangra team, dedicated to celebrating the vibrant energy, tradition, and cultural heritage of Punjab, India. Through our performances, we aim to share Bhangra with the UConn community while creating a space where students can connect through culture, teamwork, and dance.

Throughout the year, our team performs at campus events, participates in cultural showcases, and travels across the country to represent UConn at collegiate Bhangra competitions. These opportunities allow us to share Punjabi culture with new audiences, connect with other teams, and proudly carry the UConn name beyond campus.

Your support through UConn Ignite will help us cover the costs of competition travel, registration fees, costumes, props, and other team equipment. Traveling as a student organization can be expensive, and every contribution helps make these experiences more accessible for our dancers.

By supporting Husky Bhangra, you are helping us continue to grow our team, preserve and share Punjabi culture, and represent UConn on stages across the nation. We are so grateful for your support and cannot wait to bring even more energy to the stage this season!
