The Schulich School of Engineering is proud of its Indigenous Pathways Program. In alignment with the University of Calgary’s Indigenous Strategy, ii’ taa’ poh’to’p, and the direction of Engineers Canada’s commitment to Indigenous peoples in Engineering, the program was launched in September 2022 with the aim of fostering an Indigenous-centered pathway and environment where self-identified Indigenous students are provided with the requisite programming to support their skill development, well-being, and success as engineering scholars.
The program consists of direct entry into the Schulich School of Engineering through an Indigenous Admissions process, individualized student pathways through the common first-year curriculum (which may include access to preparatory content), culturally responsive student advising and holistic student supports, and financial support.
