Allison Grebe '94 Field Hockey Challenge

OneSU, Susquehanna’s annual day of giving, is a day when alumni, parents, faculty, staff, friends, and fans join together to help provide Susquehanna students with the experiences and opportunities necessary to achieve their goals and reach their highest potential.

As a proud Susquehanna Field Hockey alumna, I like hearing about ways I can help make a positive impact on the experience of the current team. Recently, Coach Fordyce noted a goal of hers for Fall 2023 was to provide the team with turf shoes to wear for practice and games. Team trainers and the strength and conditioning staff shared that wearing inadequate footwear has led to an increase in preventable lower body injuries of field hockey players. Playing on turf isn’t like playing on grass in cleats like I did! Additionally, there’s something to be said for creating even greater team unity with an even more uniformed look. Both are crucial to the sustained success of the program.

This year, I am proud to sponsor a team Field Hockey Challenge during OneSU with a goal of raising $4,000 for the purchase of the turf shoes. I ask you to join me in that endeavor. I will match 1:1 every gift made and every gift – no matter the size – directly benefits Susquehanna Field Hockey.
