Gifts to Summer Community Internship Program Challenge contribute to...
By making a gift to the Summer Community Internship Program, you will help fund summer internships for students – who are studying the natural and social sciences – with community partner organizations. Every dollar will be matched by the Council for Independent Colleges’ NetVUE grant program through SU’s 2022 grant award.
In 2022, Susquehanna University was awarded a NetVUE grant to expand and strengthen vocational (career) exploration for undergraduate students. This means:
- For the next four summers, we will provide paid professional internship opportunities with local nonprofits, government agencies, and industry partners to students majoring in the natural and social sciences.
- These interns will join our existing cohort of 30-40 summer research and internship students for weekly career development programming sessions.
- Students can live on campus with their peers, while gaining valuable professional internship experience in our local community – a benefit for both students and employers.
