Our student-athletes require comprehensive support to achieve their full potential. With your generous financial contribution, Stony Brook Athletics and the football coaching staff can effectively meet these needs by providing holistic support to every member of the team. This includes, but is not limited to, the following areas:

• Recruiting: We need to cast a wide net to identify, attract and yield the types of student-athletes needed to win the CAA and compete on a national level. It also costs money to create a first-class official visit experience and to pay for the transportation of a recruit’s closest family members.
• Enhanced Educational Opportunities: Summer and winter classes cost more than a traditional scholarship but are vital to keeping our student-athletes on track academically throughout the calendar year. The academic support we must provide requires a major investment in supportive resources.
• Player Development: Creating opportunities for guest speakers, player/coach bonding opportunities outside the office, team-building excursions and events that create chemistry and unbreakable bonds.
• Technology Investments: Upgrades to current systems and new investments in sideline tablets and helmet headsets (newly approved by the NCAA) will allow us to compete at the highest level and give our players the edge they need to succeed.
• Facility Enhancements: We spend a lot of time together in our main spaces, so we need to create a more welcoming and collaborative atmosphere, a better learning environment and a home for our football family that every player, coach and alum can be proud of.
