Support the Health Science Major

The Health Science major is the third-largest undergraduate major on campus. We embrace diversity in all its expressions and strive to embed best practices in inclusive teaching and learning with a focus on student success as we prepare our students for health-related graduate programs or entry into the healthcare workforce in clinical or non-clinical roles.

Our institutional data reveals that 83% of students in the major received aid to help fund their education. A staggering 50% of those students qualified for a Pell Grant, a grant reserved for students with exceptional financial need.

Your generous support last Giving Day helped purchase 15 iPads that students can borrow to complete in-class assignments and take exams. We were also able to provide students with graduation cords to celebrate the successful completion of their majors, purchase the materials needed for students to participate in Poster Presentation Day and purchase books for new courses so students with financial need could borrow them.

To help our students be UNSTOPPABLE, we need support to:

• Expand the lending library with textbooks for our entire curriculum.
• Continue to offer programming that builds community, creates a sense of belonging and develops career readiness skills.
• Purchase supplies to support our active learning class sessions.

Donations are used exclusively for our students’ needs so they can be UNSTOPPABLE in the pursuit of their careers.
