The SBU Athletic Training Program is proud of its vast network of alumni who support it. Alumni and current students are the fabric of local athletic health care. They span the nation, serving the physically active and representing their alma mater with compassion, integrity, perseverance, accountability and pride.

AT students participate in community outreach events and complete clinical experiences with athletic trainers in a variety of settings — from middle school to college and physician practice offices and clinics — to educate and advocate for patients and clients. The program endeavors to inform everyone about athletic trainers’ role on the healthcare team. Athletic trainers are “Champions in Health Care”!

The Athletic Training Program 2025 Giving Day initiative is to once again acquire teaching and simulation software packages and specialty equipment that will provide students with the resources necessary to enhance their patient care skills. Through prior Giving Day successes, we acquired a Shoulder Joint Reduction Simulator and a PanOptic Ophthalmoscope and Otoscope that integrate with our AV experiment. In addition, through your generous donations, we were able to purchase a Virtual Patient Simulator. These amazing additions are helping our students truly be unstoppable.
