Twenty years ago, renowned primatologist and Stony Brook University Distinguished Professor Dr. Patricia Wright founded Centre ValBio (CVB) alongside the majestic Ranomafana National Park on the island of Madagascar. Since the early days of CVB, the focus has been to protect Madagascar’s unique and biologically diverse ecosystems through conservation science and projects that directly benefit the local people.

As a global research center, CVB, with its state-of-the-art NamanaBe and AinaBe halls, has become a beacon for international researchers and students. Here, groundbreaking discoveries are made, addressing pressing issues like biodiversity loss and ecosystem health.
