Our primary aim at Stony Brook Child Care Services is to provide a warm, supportive and creative atmosphere. The center classrooms are “family grouped,” enabling children of different ages to interact. Since children at this stage of development learn through experience, there are plenty of hands-on activities that build on their sense of curiosity and self-reliance. We care for children ages 8 weeks to 5 years and are a not-for-profit center.

Our teachers also serve as mentors to student interns and volunteers from SBU. We work with the Psychology Department, Health Sciences Center, Nutrition Department and many other departments on campus.
We are proud to fill a role in the SBU community that is purposeful and vital to our families. The last few years have been challenging, but we are still learning, working and playing. Our teachers are guiding the youngest members of the SBU community to be independent and curious thinkers. Please support Stony Brook Child Care and invest in our shared future!
