About Our Campaign: Empowering Creativity at Stony Brook University’s Department of Art

At Stony Brook’s Department of Art, we believe in transforming potential into possibility. Our students — many of whom are the first in their families to attend a university — are encouraged to think boldly and engage deeply across studio practice, art history and media arts and culture.

This Giving Day, we’re raising funds to create opportunities that inspire. By supporting us, you’ll help bring dynamic visiting artists and lecturers to campus, sparking creativity and sharing real-world insights. At the same time, you’ll enable our students to explore the vibrant art world of New York City, attending exhibitions, workshops and talks that ignite their imaginations and connect them to new ideas and career pathways.
