Support the Anthropology Scholars of Tomorrow

Resources for faculty and students support and strengthen the department and the educational experience of our students. The Department of Anthropology depends on our alumni and friends to expand field opportunities for our students, provide seed money for thesis research and help young scholars share their findings with others. Last year, we used donations to the Anthropology Fund for Excellence to support students presenting their research at national conferences!

The impact of these travel funds on their recipients is immense: As one undergraduate awardee said after presenting his poster at the American Association of Biological Anthropologists meeting, “This opportunity was invaluable in my development as a researcher. Without a departmental grant, I would have missed out on the opportunity to engage with scientists from around the world pushing the limits of what science can tell us about the natural world. These eye-opening perspectives transformed my own and inspired me to explore innovative approaches to the most challenging scientific questions.”
