Join the St. Petersburg College community for our inaugural 20K Walk for Music Scholarships - an exciting, grassroots fundraiser led by Tara Jennings supporting the next generation of musical talent in honor of Matt LaPorte through the Matt LaPorte Music Scholarship. Whether you're a casual walker or a determined runner, your participation helps ensure aspiring musicians at SPC can pursue their dreams without financial barriers.
Here’s how you can make an impact:
🎵 Register to Walk or Run – Commit to completing up to 20K (12.4 miles) on the scenic Pinellas Trail on Saturday, September 6. You can go the full distance or set your own goal - every mile counts.
🎵 Find a Sponsor or Two (or Ten!) - Ask your friends, family, or colleagues to sponsor your walk. Each pledge goes directly to support the music scholarship.
🎵 Support the Future of Music – These scholarships provide critical financial support to talented students who are pursuing degrees in music performance, education and production. Your involvement helps students afford instruments, tuition, and access to world-class instruction.
