TICKET PUNCHED: SCSU Men's Basketball Receives At-Large Bid To NCAA Division II Tournament

NEW HAVEN, Conn. – Southern Connecticut men's basketball has claimed an At-Large bid as the No. 8 seed in the East Region in the 2024 NCAA Division I Men's Basketball Championship tournament, as announced by the NCAA on Mar. 10, 2024. Southern will face East Region top-seeded St. Michael's on Saturday, Mar. 16 at 5 p.m. in Colchester, Vt.

The Owls completed the season as the Northeast-10 Conference Championship Tournament Runner-up at 22-10. The Owls solidified the eighth seed in the NCAA Tournament after a NE10 Championship tournament wins against American International, Bentley and Saint Anselm before falling to Southern New Hampshire in the conference title match on Saturday, Mar. 9. Southern defeated Bentley in the final game of the regular season on Feb. 27 and again in the NE10 Quarterfinals to help the Owls past the Falcons for the eighth seed. It's is Southern's first trip to the NCAA Tournament since 2017.

Saint Michael's claimed the top seed while St. Thomas Aquinas was the No. 2. Southern New Hampshire, Daemen and Jefferson filled in the top five followed by Bloomfield, Post and the Owls.
