Southern’s nursing BSN program is ranked the best in the state by U.S. News and World Report, RegisteredNursing.org, and RNCareers.org, and it is one of the top selected majors on campus. We are proud of our school's growth and accomplishments. We continue to develop new programs, engaging teaching and learning strategies and exceptional student-nurses.
Our new facilities allowed us to double the number of nursing students, who will learn in state-of-the-industry labs and 6-bed interprofessional healthcare simulation center with over 20 low-to-high fidelity manikins. We have over 150 clinical agency partners across Connecticut in areas such as acute-care facilities, rehabilitation settings, hospitals, home-care agencies, outpatient clinics, and long-term care programs, which allow our students to gain high quality experiences that immediately transfer to their nursing careers.
Gifts to our nursing program help to support this outstanding program, which comprises the largest percentage of Yale-New Haven Health System professional nursing employees.
