About

The Annual Fund is an unrestricted fund that helps students and school programs with their greatest needs. Each gift to the Annual Fund helps fill the gap between the actual cost of educating a student and what we currently charge for tuition by providing resources across various programs such as campus ministry and academic, technological, and athletic support, etc.

Donations to the Annual Fund enable SJND to respond to operations priorities that benefit our students in all aspects of their educational experience. The Annual Fund is the cornerstone of all giving to SJND that allows us to fulfill our mission year after year. Without your support and generosity, we could not continue the legacy that began over 140 years ago.

Varsity Jacket Trivia Winner

Congratulations Gracia Hoffman '92!!!! She guessed right!

The vintage and treasured SJND varsity jacket I was privileged to sport belonged to the one, the only, the legendary Mr. Phil Gravem!

Mr. Gravem was one of the first lay teachers St. Joseph's hired in 1964. Mr. Aiello being the first. Some of his roles were: social studies department chair, the athletic director, Vice Principal and Dean of Students.

Today, you can always find Mr. Gravem at our school events and on his daily walks here in Alameda.
