Gifts to Club Clay Target contribute to...
| Dear Alumni of the CSBSJU Trapshooting Club, My name is Scott Arvig, and I am the new head coach of the CSBSJU Clay Target Team. I was brought on board last spring to not only coach the team, but to help spread the word that CSBSJU is a place where young clay target shooters have a chance to enjoy the sport and compete. With full support from the athletic department, some great advancements have been made, as the Trapshooting Club has now become an official Club Sport. It has also been rebranded as the CSBSJU Clay Target Team, to allow for the possible inclusion of skeet and sporting clays in the future, though the team is still shooting trap exclusively. As we are now in a competitive clay target league there are new expenses such as a professional coaching staff, shooting vests, and travel to tournaments which hopefully will include a trip to Illinois for the national championship. I am writing today to ask you to mark your calendars for the 2024 Go Johnnies Challenge, that closes Thursday, September 12! Supporting the Clay Target Team enables us to improve the overall student-athlete experience while continuing to keep this program running and competing in the USA College Clay Target League. There are three points of focus for the Go Johnnies Challenge: 100% of donations made on this day go directly to the program you choose. Every gift, every size makes a different! Your gift enhances our student athlete experience I want to say thank you, to those who supported this initiative in the past and hope to have your support again this year to make the 2024 Go Johnnies Challenge bigger and more successful than ever before! It’s easy for you to help us have a successful campaign once again. Thanks for your support in the past and I hope you will join us again for the 2024 Go Johnnies Challenge! Please feel free to contact me anytime to learn more about the team, what we're doing, my background in the sport, the coaching staff, or if you have any other questions. Sincerely, Scott Arvig CSBSJU Clay Target Team Head Coach Saint John’s University Cell: 320-429-0368 sarvig001@csbsju.edu |
