The Water Assessment Summer Program is an immersive training experience offered by the Environmental Technology and Management program in the College of Natural Resources. After a soft launch in 2022, the program will relaunch in 2026 as an intensive 8-week summer opportunity open to undergraduate students across NC State.
Designed as an in-the-field learning environment, this optional program gives students hands-on experience collecting and analyzing samples from local waterways. Participants gain early research exposure, hear from industry and community experts, work on real-world projects that strengthen water quality assessment skills and build meaningful community partnerships.
By turning curiosity into action, students develop practical knowledge and make a measurable impact on the health of our local waterways. Your support helps expand these opportunities and prepare the next generation of environmental leaders.
