About the Campaign

Our goal is to raise $5,000 to help launch the expanded Water Assessment Summer Experience. Your support helps provide the field supplies, testing materials and equipment students need – ensuring more undergraduates can participate in this hands-on program. Every gift directly expands access and strengthens the resources available to students in the field.

Fundraising Goal of $5,000

Equipment

• pH calibration supplies – $160
• Safety gear, notebooks, and other materials – $170
• Test strips to measure nutrients in water – $240
• Supplies to calibrate and maintain water testing tools (turbidmeter and ORP meter) – $430

Training and Educational Support

• Hands-on training with water testing equipment – $100
• Educational guest speakers – $150
• Financial support to help various students participate in the program – $2,000

Field and Testing

• Van usage to visit testing sites and labs – $250
• Fees for third-party lab testing of water samples – $1,500

Funds will be placed in the Environmental Technology and Management Fund. If the project does not meet its fundraising goal, exceeds the project need, or the project cannot be completed, the funds will be used for the overall enhancement of the Environmental Technology and Management program. Gifts are received by the NC State University Foundation, Inc. and may be distributed to an affiliated foundation that manages the fund supported by the donor.
