Your contribution to the NMSU Library’s Archives and Special Collections Special Project Assistants Fund ensures fair compensation for our 10 student workers, acquisition of rare books and materials pertinent to our region’s heritage, and the preservation and maintenance of these invaluable resources. As stewards of the archives, our student workers play an integral role in supporting research endeavors of professors and fellow students alike. Beyond their meticulous preservation efforts, our team actively engages with classes, offering tours and insights into the rich histories encapsulated within our collections.
Lined up, the boxes in our archives and collections would stretch from the NMSU campus to downtown Las Cruces. Such a vast undertaking requires substantial support.
