The groundbreaking work of NMSU’s Counseling and Educational Psychology (CEP)

Clinic is transforming mental health care in New Mexico. Here at NMSU, since fall 2020, more than 500 students have benefited from individual and group therapy, totaling 3,000+ hours of clinical services. But the impact of the CEP Clinic reaches far beyond campus. Our state grapples to find resources to address severe mental health crises, especially in underserved populations. Our dedicated CEP Clinic students are stepping up. Trained in critical mental health services, they’re on the frontlines, using telehealth techniques to address the pressing needs of rural and underserved areas.
