Gifts to Crimson Research contribute to...
Your support for Crimson Research supports our community!
Our work aligns with the mission and vision of the College of Health, Education, and Social Transformation to create social change through partnerships, regionally and beyond. Crimson Research is a grant-funded team of researchers who collaborate with local non-profit social service agencies and county governments along the Mexico-U.S. border and throughout the state to conduct research and evaluate health, education, and social programs. Our work serves often-overlooked communities that rely heavily on these services.
With your gift, gaps in support that community non-profits or government agencies may not be able to cover can be bridged. Examples of our work include: disease prevention and health promotion programs; community trainings and needs assessments; health messaging; and promoting healthy lifestyles through linguistically tailored methods. Recent program evaluations have studied Guaranteed Basic Income, school and community health curricula, alternatives to incarceration, substance use harm reduction, mental health stigma reduction, and health literacy.
